Why publish my prices?
While many photographers show you their best photos in a quick slide show it may be hard to find what their fees are by looking at their website.
I give you it all up front. While many wedding photographers charge several thousand dollars, paying a lot of money doesn't necessarily guarentee great results. You can see my prices and options and with a click view entire weddings also. I want to provide you with many options to fit within your needs with affordable prices. If there is something you want me to do or your budget doesn't fit in with any of my packages please call (515-341-3702) and we can make other arrangements.
I use high-end equipment.
Canon digital cameras:
EOS 50D 15 Megapixel (Primary Camera)
EOS 30D 8.3 Megapixel (backup Camera).
I use four Canon "L" series lenses to capture your day.
I shoot in Raw plus JPG format.
I use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom 2 for touch ups and special effects.
Formals are shot with a Photogenic Power light with 48" umbrella on a 13 ft stand.
My aim is to provide an enjoyable wedding day experience.
The wedding day is not meant to be a hassel-filled day of stress. I strive to create a fun experience yet cherished moments of a lifetime.
Of all the services you will hire for your special day, only three items will last for a life time: your wedding gifts, rings and your photos.
This is designed for the coverage as a stand alone session without wedding package or you may add it to any budget package. Online previewing of all photos from session;
includes: 1-8x10 and 2-5x7
$50 if you add to Budget or Basic Package. Enlargements extra.

BASIC PACKAGES
$775 - Basic Wedding less reception - 4 hours
This package includes 4 hours of photography: 3 hours prewedding formals and some
journalism, 1 hour Ceremony and leaving church, No reception coverage.

4. You keep approximaltely 100 4x6 proofs
5. Online Previewing of all shots. 300 plus images shot.
$875 - Basic Wedding with Reception - 5 hours
This package includes 5 hours of photography: 3 hours prewedding formals and some
journalism, 1hour Ceremony and leaving church, 1 hour at reception which begins
when I arrive directly from the Church.
1. 3 hours of prewedding formal photography,
2. Full Coverage during ceremony including
3. Shots of leaving the Church.
4. Also 1 hour of coverage at Reception.
5. You keep approximatley 150 4x6 proofs
6. Online previewing of all shots
$975 - The Basic Wedding with Reception Plus Photo-journalism - 6 hours
This package includes 6 hours of photography: 3 hours prewedding formals and more
journalism, 1 hour Ceremony and leaving church, 2 hours at reception which begins when I
arrive directly from the Church. If dance shots begin much later than the two hours, then
there will be a $100 per hour charge following the 2 hours coverage.

2 - Premium Packages
PREMIUM - 1....$1400 - 7 total hours plus two options
Special for 2011 weddings only: Free DVD ($250 value)
If you select the Premium 1 you get: All engagement photos and wedding photos on a DVD disc; you will have rights to make proofs, use for stationary & Christmas cards from the CD. A rights disclaimer will be included.
Included in the Premium 1:
1. You get the $975 digital package with its options
2. Getting Ready Shots (half hour) Reception coverage (2.5 hours)
If time allows we could also work in some outdoor shots; or shoot most of the shots at a choice of your location.
3. Also you may choose two of the following options:
>>$250 applied toward any purchases made after the wedding.
>> Two assembled 100 proof albums for parents. ($250 Value)
Usually around 40 pages and will contain 100+ photos. These run about $150 to
set up, then $50 per book. In this package you get two copies.
NOTE: Many have requested an 80 page book instead of 40 pages. This would be an additional $150 or $4 per page.
4. ONLINE PREVIEWING: I will upload all photos to my website. You'll be given access to the site (either open or password protected-your choice).
PREMIUM - 2.....$2200 8 hours x 2
TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS - While Ed is free to shoot the essential poses with journalism, a second photographer will capture extra candids and journalism shots. This enables interesting angles and perspectives that one photographer just couldn't capture.
Create the wedding experience you want.
Total day coverage could include many possibilities:
Makeup & Hair, shots of the dress, getting ready shots, outdoor shots, studio backdrop, as well as more of an emphasis on journalism and less on traditional poses.... In this package you'd get to choose four of the following options:
>>$300 applied toward any purchases made after the wedding.
you will have rights to make proofs, use for stationary & Christmas cards
from the CD. Any wallets and prints larger than 4x6 must be processed
through me. A rights disclaimer will be included. May includeup to 800 plus photos
>> 500 - 4x6 prints of the best images (matte finish)
>>>>use two choices on a 12 x12 - 20 page album created in photoshop,
These are nice padded albums, choose white, black, or brown.
>>>>Use two choices on either three large 13x11 or three large 12x12 Coffee
table Books.
If there's something else you need we'll try to fit it in.
ONLINE PREVIEWING: I will upload all photos to my website www.edharp.smugmug.com. You'll be given access to the site (either open or password protected-your choice).
HOW TO BOOK YOUR WEDDING
Step 1 - Call me right away to see if I have the day(s) available.

Step 2 - Discuss which package is best for you. This may be done over the phone, or you may come to the studio.
Step 3 - Send in your retainer fee*. This will hold and guarantee the day for you. The prices are locked in when I receive this payment.

*For all packages the retainer fee is $200, it must be paid to hold the wedding day. A retainer is a two-way protection, plus it is your first partial payment toward your package. You are guaranteed the day, but if you cancel the wedding the retainer is non-refundable since I am not very likely to rebook another wedding on that day.
